PostHeaderIcon Cyclists Have Arrived!

The cyclists finally arrived in Paris today after their epic journey from Hartley Wintney. Here is a picture of the team at the Eiffel tower. For more photos direct from the journey click here. Other photos taken at the launch can be found in the Photo Gallery.

For the story of how they got there, do check out the progress blog. Remember you can still donate to any of the cyclists. Follow this link to your favourite cyclist or go direct to the St. John's Just Giving page.

A 240 mile cycle for St. John's Church

Hartley Wintney to Paris cyclists

A major building project is underway at St John’s Church, Hartley Wintney, Hampshire.  The church has outgrown its current facilities and potential is being realised as to what we can do and want to do in our local community.  The church hall is already bursting at the seams with numerous activities and clubs for children and youth - and many activities led by the church can’t currently be accommodated in our hall.

On Thursday 2nd September 2010, 45 people from the village will cycle to Paris with a target to raise £25,000  for this local community project. Come and see them off from 11am (cyclists depart at midday) at St John's churchyard, Hartley Wintney.

PASTA PARTY - at the Phoenix Inn, Hartley Wintney, Wednesday 1st Sept. From 6.30pm. All participants, supporters, friends and family are welcome to attend. Come along to the official send-off party.

Carsons Estate Agents has generously offered to be the main sponsor for the bike ride. Visit the Sponsors page to see who is getting involved in other ways.

The new cycle tops have arrived back from the printers in good time and will be available for collection by all participants on Thursday morning, if you don't receive yours beforehand. Thank you to Carsons for making these available.
